Bumper cars? No... building bumpers!

Not sure if this is the beginning of a Stephen King novel or just a weird coincidence, but....

A hit-and-run was reported to Kalispell Police on Fourth Avenue West, and the accident wasn’t between vehicles. The suspect reportedly struck a house before driving away. The driver was later cited.

Surprisingly, another house was the victim of a wayward vehicle the same day on Seventh Avenue East. This time, the offender stayed on scene. If no more houses get in fights with cars in the next day or two, we are going to assume it was indeed just a coincidence.

A caller alerted the police that young people were parking in the senior citizen parking on Cooper Lane.

Officers placed a woman in custody after a fight on U.S. 93 South.

Police cited a woman who “shoved some steaks” down the front of her pants in an attempted theft from a Third Avenue East North business. She was conspicuously wearing white face-paint.

A skunk found its way through the window of a Ninth Avenue East North property and then couldn’t find its way out. Animal control was requested to remove the varmint.

The Whitefish Police Department went to pick up a man who was passed out behind a Columbia Avenue church. He was arrested on a warrant.

A woman reported that $300 had been stolen from her car on O’Brien Avenue.

A woman was reportedly “freaking out” in the middle of Anderson Lane, but she committed no crime according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

There was a complaint about a motor home that was parked on Flathead Drive for a week.

A woman received a text message that a man was going to break into her home. The Wagar Lane resident reported this to officials.

The suspect in a beer-can theft reportedly had a prior warrant for theft. The “tallboy” was allegedly taken from a U.S. 2 business near Kalispell.

One caller’s rowdy son put several holes in the walls in an East Evergreen Drive home. The parent wanted to press charges.

A Martin City resident missed a late-night phone call from the county jail, but she didn’t recognize any names on the jail roster. She wanted to ask the sheriff’s office what the call was about.

A Willow Glen Drive resident reported a “tweaky” man who was riding a bicycle but looking for motorcycles. The caller gave a description.

One man called law enforcement from under a bridge. He said that he was hiding because some people tried to “jump” him near South Meridian Road. The assailants reportedly “meant business.” A deputy helped the man get to a safe place.

A Birch Grove Road resident suspected that somebody “shot” the solar panels that ran his electric fence. That led to his cows making a clean escape.

One Beach Road man gave a full report to dispatch. He said that he watched women’s softball on television and then saw a vehicle parked outside his house. He added that the people in the car are “not worthy of the truth.” He also described himself as “cool, calm and collected.”
