Survivor cat can't ID its shooter

A Wood Ridge Drive resident told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that his cat came home one day with a bullet in its head. The cat survived after surgery but unfortunately couldn’t name a suspect.

One caller wanted to talk to deputies about a man he supposedly assaulted at a bar last week.

A possible squatter was reported at a Montana 82 residence.

Some campers reportedly set up shop on private land near Conrad Drive. The property owner reported tents and “junk all around.”

A Kimberly Lane business manager let an employee borrow a computer, and that employee left the state with it.

Two vehicles were “ransacked,” according to a Kathy Lake Lane resident. The damage was $35 in cash and a purse, but no credit cards.

There was a burglary reported at a Berne Road home. Computer equipment was said to be missing.

One caller told the sheriff’s office that a man tried to sell him a foot-long knife. When he refused to buy it, the man stashed it behind a garbage can and went into a U.S. 2 casino to gamble.

A woman was arrested for a DUI on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls after she was seen swerving in front of an ambulance.

One man called to voice his concern that he’d not seen a deputy patrolling his area near Beach Road. Then he informed them that he was going to bed.

A hit-and-miss thief broke into a vehicle on Dakota Avenue, according to a report to the Whitefish Police Department, but didn’t have much luck. A CD case was opened and some change was taken. However, an iPod was taken from an unlocked car on the same street — Dakota Avenue.

Over on East Seventh Street, the owner locked his or her car. The problem was that the keys were left inside.

A report from Lupfer Avenue started with a man beating on his vehicle in the alley. It ended with a “taser deployment” by an officer.

A resident at A Street West North told the Columbia Falls Police Department that a suspicious truck kept driving by the place. She thought it was her son and was “afraid that he will blow her up in the middle of the night.”
