Community invited to meet Whitefish Public Works director finalists
The city of Whitefish will hold a meet-and-greet session for the Public Works director finalists at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Grouse Mountain Lodge’s outside tent in Whitefish.
The public is invited.
Finalists include David Dobbs, a city engineer with the city of Great Falls; Karin Hilding, Whitefish Public Works senior project engineer and interim director; Ryan Leland, a city engineer with the city of Helena; and Craig Workman, Public Works director for the city of Burlington, Wisconsin.
A fifth finalist, Carl Spier, deputy city engineer for the city of San Diego, California, is unable to attend but will participate with a Skype online interview with city officials on Thursday.
Former Whitefish Public Works Director John Wilson recently resigned from the job to take a similar position for the city of Missoula.
