Edwin Forrest Covell, 85

Edwin Forrest Covell, 85, passed away June 8, 2015, due to an accident at his Whitefish residence.

Edwin was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Pittsburg, New Hampshire, where he grew up.

Edwin had been a logger for many years in the Flathead Valley.

On Dec. 5, 1988, he married Betty Stevens in Casper, Wyoming. They were married for 26 years.

Edwin loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He attended the Whitefish congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Edwin was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Gravlin, and his first wife, Violet “Vi” Covell, in 1986. Edwin is survived by his wife, Betty Covell; sons, Bob and Bill Shanks, and daughter, Bonnie Long; four brothers; two sisters and their families residing in New Hampshire, and 9 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the Whitefish Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
