Man finally charged up over battery theft
A Church Drive man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that he had a lot of batteries stolen late last year. He put the value at about $500 but he couldn’t give a particular reason why he had waited to report the theft.
Vandals reportedly drilled into a pickup on Sunrise Creek Drive to steal gasoline.
One Sampson Lane resident was alarmed to see a small car marked with a major search engine company’s logo driving down the road. It had a camera on top, which the resident thought might be sinister. Dispatch told the resident that this could be for the company’s mapping feature.

Workers at a U.S. 2 business near Kalispell had to kick out a man with a mullet, but not due to his haircut. He was reportedly lying down in the store. Witnesses described the man as “possibly holding a beverage.”
