Rodeo: More bucking on Day 4
Tyrell Toren of Kalispell had the best score in bull riding during the first go on Friday evening at the Montana High School Rodeo Finals at Majestic Valley Arena.
Toren posted a high mark of 71.5.
Tristan O’Neal of Valier was second, 67.5, followed by Waylon LaDue of Browning, 59.5.
Seventeen cowboys failed to complete their eight-second rides, including Chris Corpron of Kila, Tyler Rohrman of Kalispell and Bridger Fitzpatrick of Polson.
Toren came into this event with a maximum of 70 regular-season points along with O’Neal and five other bull riders.
There were only two successful rides in the bareback. Shawn Perkins of Roberts had the top score with a 69.5.
Trevor Clark of Brusett had a 70.5 ride for the top score in the saddle bronc.
Wrye Williams of Broadus turned in a 6.78 time to top the steer wrestling.
Rodeo action continues today with performances from 9-11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
