MEDICINE HAT, Alberta — The Kalispell Lakers AA took the last of a three-game series against Medicine Hat on Wednesday, beating the Moose Monarchs 10-7 in 12 innings.

The Lakers led 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning, only for Medicine Hat to tie the score and put the winning run on third before Kalispell’s Logan Decock shut down the side.

Patrick O’Connell led off the top of the 12th with a base hit and was bunted over to second by Andy Bemis. Brandon Maassen was hit by a pitch to put two men on base for Levi Brenneman, who cleared the bases with a single to give the Lakers the lead. Quinn Barber would hit a sacrifice fly later in the inning to add another run.

Decock pitched 8 2/3 innings of relief in the win, allowing only two runs.

The Lakers lost the first two games of the series on Tuesday, losing the front-end of a doubleheader 11-6 and the second game 6-5.
