OPINION: Zinke thanked for trade support

We’d like to thank Rep. Zinke for his votes in favor of Montana’s exporters. With two votes in as many weeks, the House has now sent a Trade Promotion Authority bill to the Senate that may be taken up as early as Tuesday.  

Flathead Valley manufacturers, farmers, and workers will benefit: one in four manufacturing jobs depend on exports, and one in three acres of American farms is planted for consumers overseas. Ninety-eight percent of the 300,000 U.S. companies that export are small-medium sized businesses.
