A dramatic crash involving three vehicles on West Reserve Drive ended up with a minivan perched on top of a parked car.

Nobody was seriously hurt in the north Kalispell crash.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper John Underwood, the collisions were instigated by the Chrysler minivan shortly after 11 a.m.

The minivan first rear-ended a Honda that was stopped on West Reserve waiting in a line of eastbound cars.

The impact seriously crumpled the rear of the car. The van, driven by an elderly woman, kept moving after contact.

The minivan hopped a curb and drove across the grass into the parking lot of Firefly Children’s Center and Healing Arts.

There it smashed into an unoccupied Subaru. The minivan ended up on top of the Subaru’s hood.

The Montana Highway Patrol, Flathead County Sheriff’s Office and Evergreen Fire Rescue responded to the scene. Medical personnel tended to minor injuries before tow crews got to work pulling the vehicles apart.

Traffic was slowed but not halted after the crash.
