OPINION: Why not build new high school on Airport Road?
My 86-year-young mother recently moved in with me and as I was catching her up on the community issues, she asked me a question I pondered for a seemingly long time for a reasonable answer and failing, I decided to ask all of you for that reasonable answer.
“Why not build a new high school off Airport Road where there’s space to expand and park, with the 93 Bypass convenient to high school traffic, taking the place of the proposed new elementary school and instead using the present high school for the new “old” elementary school building. The old high school and its parking should be sufficient for young students who don’t yet drive.
I’m looking forward to feedback re this issue, which may be sent directly to me at flatheadhighschoolparkingissue@hotmail.com, as well as to the editor for publication. —Peggylee Leckrone-Olson, Kalispell
