Legion Baseball: Twins A take Gallo, Loggers win Big Bucks
WHITEFISH — The Glacier Twins A team scored six runs in the first inning and held the Twins B team to just one hit and one run to win 18-1 in the championship game of the Ed Gallo Memorial Wood Bat American Legion baseball tournament on Sunday at Memorial Park.
Jesse Walburn was 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs for the Glacier A squad as all 11 players recorded at least one hit. The A team had 17 hits in the contest and eight players had an RBI.
Nathan Hader picked up the lone hit for the B team.

Big Bucks Tournament
LIBBY — With temperatures that reached 109 degrees, the Libby Loggers topped Strathmore 3-1 in the championship game to win the Big Bucks tournament at Lee Gehring Field.
In the third place game, Moscow (Idaho) held Mission Valley to just three hits and overcame a 1-0 hole in the first inning to win 7-2. The Blue Devils added up 12 hits in the contest, scoring all seven runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Micah McClure was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Mariners, who were 2-1 at the tournament entering Sunday.
Mission Valley beat Coeur d’Alene 10-3 on Saturday. Derek Peel was 3 for 3 in the contest with a double and two home runs to lead the Mariners offense.
