Man attempts thefts in West Glacier

A man who allegedly walked out on a $4 food bill in West Glacier was later reported trying to steal alcohol, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. Park rangers made sure he returned the items and went back to camp to sleep off his intoxication.

The neighbor of a Montana 35 resident reportedly accused the resident of cat theft. The resident claimed she did not have the cat.

A Leonard Lane resident tried to evict a man who had been staying there a while. According to the report, the man held a shotgun in his hand so the resident grabbed a handgun. No injuries were reported.

A pot hole was blamed when a boat trailer lost an axle while being pulled down Willow Glen Road.

There was a smell issue at a Harmony Road home, according to the resident, who informed dispatch that his neighbor has a pig.

Someone came in with a “car load” of items to pawn at a U.S. 2 business.

A bicycle was reported stolen straight off of a Conrad Drive porch.

Someone called in the driver of a pickup for possible DUI. The driver reportedly parked on U.S. 2, got out and “appeared intoxicated.”

There was a report from a U.S. 2 business near Kalispell that someone threw fireworks in a trash bin and started a fire.

A Highland Drive resident was besieged by two bats inside the house. She opened the door to get the first one out and a second one flew in, which left her without ideas.


 

People above an East Second Street business reportedly sounded like they were “throwing stuff down the stairs.” The business owner told the Whitefish Police Department that they yelled at her and she worried that they might break things in the business.

A Skyles Place resident called the police to report a car blocking the driveway. The car moved, so the resident then requested extra patrols.


 

The Columbia Falls Police Department cited three motorcycle riders on Grove Street. It’s unclear what the citation was.

A Third Avenue West resident told police that the neighbor, who is a pastor, sprayed “poison” on her side of the fence. The resident was worried for her five pets.
