Glacier National Park’s Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center will host a brown-bag presentation March 10 on lake trout suppression efforts in Quartz Lake.

From noon to 1 p.m., park fisheries biologist Carter Fredenberg will present recent research examining the effectiveness of suppressing the invasive trout species, along with effects on native bull trout.

The study was conducted by Glacier Park and the U.S. Geological Survey.

Fredenberg is a recent graduate of Montana State University with a master’s degree in fish and wildlife management.

The presentation will be held at the park’s community center in West Glacier and is free to the public.
