Moving pains for new homeowner

While settling into her new place on Tronstad Road, a woman started noticing that the front door was wide open in the morning. She reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that nothing appeared stolen and there were no signs of forced entry. She had been “hearing things” at night, however.

A driver reported an old Cadillac swerving all over Three Mile Drive. At one point, the Caddy driver made a U-turn and “hit themselves in the head,” according to the caller.

After being cited for his barking dogs, a Foothill Road resident called the Sheriff’s Office to report that his neighbor’s dogs had been barking.


No medical assistance was needed on Eighth Avenue East North when an 8-year-old girl spray-painted a young boy in the face. The boy’s mother called the Columbia Falls Police Department with concern about the girl’s lack of supervision.


A railroad employee called the Whitefish Police Department about two vehicles blocking an access road on Edgewood Drive. The caller didn’t want the cars to be towed, but he asked police to advise the owners about parking.

According to a report, a woman moved a man’s belongings outside, in front of the house. The woman called police and asked that an officer come by to “witness” that the things were out there.


A theft was reported after someone drove away from a West Idaho Street gas station without paying. Before Kalispell Police could respond, the driver returned and paid.
