There were reports of three children throwing rocks down onto a trail at Lone Pine State Park. A caller told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that one of the rocks came mighty close to her.

A Cooperative Way resident called to let law enforcement know that a 13-year-old was driving a car around the neighborhood.

Deputies caught up with some kids on Meadowlark Road who apparently had a stolen bicycle.

Dispatch with the Whitefish Police Department dropped in on an apparent argument when somebody misdialed 911. At least one curse word was heard before the caller realized the mistake.

Police were unable to locate a man who was reportedly speeding on a scooter while holding a 1-year-old child.

The Columbia Falls Police Department took a report of a woman who was walking down Crescent Drive and checking for unlocked cars. The same caller reported a man doing the same thing and surmised that the two were in cahoots.

A vacuum salesman offered an Eddy Court resident a free carpet cleaning. That seemed too good to be true, so the resident called the police to inquire about its legitimacy.

The Montana Department of Transportation reported a road closure Friday morning on U.S. 2 near West Glacier. A tow truck was working to recover a vehicle that had gone off the road.

Here’s an example of what not to do in a car accident. After hitting a parked car on U.S. 93 North, three people exited the vehicle and walked into a nearby store. One of them hid a “can of alcohol” behind the tire. The Kalispell Police Department investigated and found that the car that was hit wasn’t damaged anyway.

Residents on Sunset Boulevard received a visit from the Columbia Falls vacuum salesmen. This resident allowed them to clear the carpet.

Ten vehicles were found on North Meridian Road with BB shots all through the windshields, according to a caller. Extra patrols were requested in the area.

A man reported as intoxicated was “playing in traffic” along U.S. 93 South before laying down in front of a gas station entrance.
