Dorothy Susan Fetveit, 93
Dorothy Susan Fetveit, 93, left us on March 17, 2015, “to embrace a promise of eternal life in the company of the risen Christ Jesus.”
Born in Mora, Minnesota, Dorothy grew up in Glasgow, the youngest of four children born to Jay B. and Susan Turnacliff.
Dorothy served overseas in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II.
Following the war, Dorothy returned to Montana where she met and married Martin Fetveit in Kalispell. They had three sons.
Dorothy was a founding member of Evergreen Lutheran Church.
She often reflected on having lived three separate lives: one, a life filled with youthful adventure, the second as a devoted wife and mother and the third a life free from responsibility, allowing her to enjoy many wonderful friends. She lived each life to the fullest.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Steven and wife Samantha, Gary and wife Diane, both of Kalispell, Richard and life partner David, of Las Vegas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Dorothy’s family offers our deepest appreciation to the staff at Buffalo Hills Terrace and the Heritage Place Alzheimer’s unit. Their professional ability and kindness has touched us in a profound way.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, at Johnson Gloschat Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Dorothy’s family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to view Dorothy’s tribute wall, offer condolences and share memories.
