Friday night fight gets electric

Several calls reported a disturbance behind a bar on Central Avenue. Those reporting the disturbance said it sounded like a fight. Responding officers from the Whitefish Police Department found two men brawling and attempted to break up the fight. One man was tasered when he refused to stop. 

Drivers on U.S. 93 were miffed by a muffler that was partially blocking a southbound lane. Officers removed the offending automotive part. 

A man was seen speeding through a school zone on Spokane Avenue, and when area residents told him to slow down, he reportedly told the residents to “F off.” 

A group of men were continually getting loud in a hotel lobby on Wisconsin Avenue. Eventually all the subjects returned to their rooms. 

 

A woman on Seventh Street West called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a man was trying to get through her front door using a screwdriver. He eventually left the scene. 

An alleged meth pipe was found on the ground on 11th Street West. The caller did not want to touch it and wanted officers to dispose of the piece. 

 

A man called Kalispell Police Department to report that his sister put two bags of wet leaves on his bed. Officers advised him that the situation was a civil issue. 

A store employee accidentally dialed emergency services by knocking a roll of paper towels onto the store phone. 

Kids were reportedly being pulled behind a truck while riding on skateboards a parking lot on First Avenue. Responding officers spoke to subjects in the parking lot who denied any knowledge of such activity. 

A man called dispatch after he was given a fake phone number from a man he met at the hot springs in Anaconda.
