Four finalists named for Whitefish school job

Candidates who will interview for the Whitefish School District superintendent position have been announced.

Interview dates are tentatively set while times are yet to be finalized.

Lance Pearson, superintendent of Victor Public Schools, and Josh Middleton, former assistant superintendent of Billings School District, are lined up for interviews on May 11.

Rick Duncan, superintendent of Powell County High School District in Deer Lodge, and Heather Davis Schmidt, executive regional director of Missoula County Public Schools, will be interviewed May 12.

Current Whitefish Superintendent Kate Orozco announced her resignation in March to move closer to family. She is in her fourth year as superintendent.
