Salvation Army to hold annual gala on May 16

| May 1, 2015 6:00 AM

The Salvation Army Gala will be Saturday, May 16, in the main ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell.

The theme will be country and western and the ballroom will be decorated in the style of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

The evening will feature dancing to country music from Rob Quist & Great Northern. Quist’s daughter, Halladay Quist, will open the evening and join her father on stage later.

Attendees also will be entertained by April Howard’s Steppin’2 Rhythm Country Western dance team.

Tickets are $50 per person to this non-alcoholic event that includes a special dinner. The proceeds will go to support the local activities of the Kalispell Salvation Army.

Last year, the Salvation Army served 30,000 hot, nutritious meals and provided shower and laundry facilities to the destitute.
