Mary Penelope 'Penny' Armstrong, 75

Mary Penelope “Penny” Armstrong, 75, of Cape Carteret, North Carolina, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter from cancer. She was with family and a dear friend.

At Penny's request, a celebration of her life is to be held on Flathead Lake near Kalispell, in August, where she lived a full and vibrant life for 26 years, before moving to Cape Carteret.

Penny Armstrong was preceded in death by her loving husband, John L. Armstrong.

She is survived by her two children, Dr. Karen Armstrong and Rob Williams of Cedar Point, North Carolina, and Glen Armstrong and Yvonne of Columbia Falls; and three grandchildren, Andy Hart and Blair of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Mattson and Aidan Williams of Cedar Point.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel, in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice House of Onslow County, in hopes that you and she can help bring this much needed service to Jacksonville.
