Cristal Lea Gilbert Rice, 55

Cristal Lea Gilbert Rice, 55, passed away April 24, 2015, at her home.

She was born Oct. 18, 1959, in Kalispell and was raised in Evergreen. She attended school in the Evergreen school system and graduated from Flathead High School in 1977.

She later graduated from C & C Beauty School and became a hairdresser, working at various beauty parlors.

Cristal loved watching TV, especially "NCIS." She loved the outdoors and swimming. She also enjoyed sitting on her family’s house deck and listening to the birds and wind through the trees, as well as attending family get-togethers.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Mae Gingery, and her father, George Gilbert.

Cristal is survived by her mother, Avis A. Gilbert, of Kalispell; children, Christopher Rode of Renton, Washington, and Brenden Rice of Kalispell; sisters, Cindie L. Wright and husband Lewis of Santa Clarita, California, Carrie L. Gilbert of Kalispell, and Cathie L. Gilbert of Kalispell; nieces, Cambria Happ of Washington, D.C., and Michelle Roberts of Kalispell; and nephew, Jeff Happ, of Castaic, California.

Graveside services took place April 30 at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
