Man leaves child in car to go drink

The Kalispell Police Department respond to reports that a man allegedly left his child in the car while he was drinking in a casino.

A man on Fifth Avenue East North was reportedly giving items to passersby and instructing them to take the items into a pawn shop across the street. Officers were unable to locate.

Police responded to a report that a man defecated all over the seat in the bathroom at a coffee shop on West Center Street. Shop owners believed the man was on drugs, as he was overly loud and disruptive.


A student from a local school was reported missing to the Columbia Falls Police Department. The student had been missing for 30 minutes when teachers called in help from local officers. The student was eventually found walking home alone and a plan was put in place so the incident would not happen again.

Later, a different child was reported missing, but was found at home.

A father reported that he gave his daughter 24 hours before he would call police to report that she had broken into his house on Liberty Street and had stolen two tablets.

A man driving a Yamaha was seen driving without his lights and reportedly racing down North Meridian Road.


A local resident asked the Whitefish Police Department for advice. The resident was receiving too many texts from a man in South Dakota to whom he sold a car. The man felt since the deal already took place, he didn’t need to answer any more questions.

A woman requested extra patrol in her neighborhood, because she was sleeping in a tent in her yard and was afraid of having a stalker come onto her property.

A park bench was placed in the middle of East Second Street.
