A Lakeside man has been accused in a grisly account of domestic violence, including slamming a woman’s face into a door frame, according to police.

Grant Edward Rodgers, 38, was arrested on Friday and charged with criminal endangerment, a felony.

According to court documents, deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Department met the victim late Friday night. They found her with a bloody nose and a “large lump” on her forehead.

The woman told police that Rodgers told her, “You are going to die [expletive],” and tried to throw her down a spiral staircase. She ran downstairs, and Rodgers followed, she said.

Rodgers then “grabbed the back of her head and slammed her face into the door frame,” according to court documents. He allegedly hit and kicked her several times before she was able to leave the property and call 911.

Rodgers could face up to 10 years in prison and a $50,000 fine if convicted. He is being held in the Flathead County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.

His arraignment is set for May 28.
