Self-induced blindness one way to avoid seeing hard truths
The editorial page of the Jan. 13 Inter Lake contained more of the steady diet of local liberals demonstrating the age-old human dilemma of, “There are none so blind as those who won’t see.” It is therefore worth revisiting for what we can learn from it.
In his letter, Bill Cox emphasizes the value of government regulations (control) of seatbelts reducing traffic deaths and emission regulations bringing us more fresh air. Well and good, and don’t we all desire technological progress, and limit the control of the haves over the have-nots? We should all be very interested in seeing examples of government’s role in overseeing corporate greed and its version of self-serving. But why ignore the stifling government regulations and taxes, especially by un-elected bureaucrats killing small businesses, the backbone of America and what free enterprise and entrepreneurship (positive capitalism) are all about.
I am all for the libs alerting the public (free speech) with the specifics of how the RINOs (led by the elite establishment, such as Mitch McConnell and John Boehner) are in their quest for control, thus helping to destroy our Constitution and value system as a one-of-a-kind culture. But to say we have never had more freedom than the fruits of our present government is as absurd a deception as one can concoct. What rock are you living under, Bill? What about the ever progressing government control, the ACLU types out to destroy the Christians’ freedom of religion, and the abominable atrocity of the absurd label of hate speech killing the constitutional inalienable right of free speech? The details are encyclopedic.
Self-induced blindness is man’s history and psychological nature, whether it be individual, family, a college’s restriction of freedom of speech/religion under the hypocrisy of intellectual freedom; or at the city, state or federal level. Wherever there is imperfect man, one finds imperfect political, economic and religious systems. Self-chosen blindness/deception historically leads to self-demise.
Bill Cox’s perspective is a case in point; or is he just typical of liberal human nature to cover up/ignore the despicable disasters as Harry Reid, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Chris Matthews, and especially the volumes of unthinkable destruction of our Constitution, history and way of life being perpetrated by the fraud-in-chief living part-time in the White House.
Since human nature includes the fact that truth can be very upsetting, disturbing and discouraging, hiding it is a fundamental of government (aided by the controlled media) control of the masses. Both parties are corrupted, for starters, by the corporate and other lobbyists buying their services with billions of campaign funds over time with which to buy votes of the uninformed, gullible masses operating on emotion (reliable facts require time and effort). Then we add in corporate America buying cheap labor and retailers gaining more customers, all to the self-destruction of borders, language and culture,. What we wind up with is self-demise by design.
The anti-American libs (extreme leftists) are quick and consistent to ignore the evidence and encourage such non-assimilating outsiders getting large department signs in Spanish at Home Depot and Lowe’s, equipment manuals, paint-can labels, etc., requiring considerable expense for the producer, phone systems requiring dial one for English. Yet Congress refuses to make English the national language. More idiocy via bureaucratic brilliance is making drivers licenses and voting ballots in a language of your choice, then ignore the resulting proof of the pudding which so contradicts their feel-good deception trumping logic, evidence and common sense.
The coming disaster of “common sense being against the law” should be more than self-evident. But not so to those who push for control “to change the nation.” To dupe the masses by labeling the Republican Party as “the Party of No” completely ignores (greatly aided by the left-wing media cover-up) Harry Reid’s dictatorship control of the Senate by blocking some 320 Republican bills to protect the self-appointed new king/emporer/autocrat having a pen and a phone and who says Congress needs to be bypassed.
George Soros’ buying control in multiple venues is just one more well-kept secret out in the open to those who look. Whistleblower magazine is a well-researched documented information source. It is well-detailed as well as categorically evidenced by two clinical psychiatrists and a neuro-surgeon that Obama is a hedonist, narcissist and a pathological liar; plus, Hillary is, among her numerous flaws, a congenital liar.
The U.S.A. is unquestionably the last barrier in the way of the long-sought-after One World Government by the globalists and international banksters. They are becoming more open in their goal to bring us down. Extensive evidence begs the question: Is Obama, with an effectively covered-up past, a hand-picked puppet of these self-serving controllers? To just have the emotional, blind supporters scream “No way!” doesn’t cut it.
Another essential question the controlled leftist media won’t ask is, “How long before Islam owns the United States?” Pat Buchanan’s book, “Death of the West,” says 2050, via current birth rates/death rates. Corrupt administration, Congress and federal courts are allowing the steady invasion of sharia law which bodes for how many years sooner than that. Their victory becomes all the more certain as we the sheeple in too many numbers either don’t like upsetting truth, haven’t got time or have no compulsion to fight back and get proactive. It’s so much easier to pull the covers over our heads and be deceived by “Ignorance is bliss.”
And for one more example from the Opinion page of the Inter Lake, how about Tom Nerison’s being so creative in word choice when taking our very special, unique editor to task? I had a job which took me across the state for a number of years. This gave me lots of opportunity to read the local paper while having lunch or supper.
Managing Editor Frank Miele has no parallel in his research, extensive evidence, and logic to back up his conclusions. In fact, he is a true giant in all of the Northwest. Why doesn’t Neil attack Mr. Miele’s position point-by-point to prove him wrong? Another leftist a while back revealed his inability to understand and appreciate truth by having Dr. Thomas Sowell’s brilliance go clear over his head.
Thank you, Daily Inter Lake, for taking on the challenge of a very small circulation paper doing its part to offer the citizenry another vehicle to awaken the “sleeping, don’t know/don’t care, too busy with their own self-serving concerns to pay attention to the plight of the nation” public.
Visualize a ship out on the high seas with a collection of bad guys who end up sinking their end. What happens to the good guys on their end of the ship who did nothing to interfere?
