Whitefish Trail pavilion opens on Wednesday

Whitefish Legacy Partners will celebrate the grand opening of the Whitefish Trail Learning Pavilion with the city of Whitefish, the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation and other partners on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The structure was built last fall and will serve as an outdoor gathering place for education activities. 

This year, Whitefish Legacy Partners will continue to offer a range of educational programs, an expanded guided hiking series for adults and children, along with school field trips focused on natural history, ?tness, physical science and forestry management. 

The pavilion also will be available for educational use by the public through a reservation process with the Whitefish Parks and Recreation Department.
