Show up and tell what you think about new city hall

| May 27, 2015 9:00 PM

The city of Whitefish is telling us, that it does not have enough money and will need to raise the mill, water rates and whatever else.  How much money does the city owe now! So why do we need a $14.7 million city hall? How many of you visit a city and say, “I want to see your city hall.”

I have been in towns where they use an old apartment building. Why didn’t we buy the bank? Wow, there would be parking and you could run in take care of business quickly.

Thus, if you agree we do not need a $14.7 million city hall come to the City Council meeting on Monday, June 1, at 7 p.m. At the beginning of the meeting, there is a public comment period. We need to fill the place with everyone who is against.

Contrary to public thought, we can do something, but we have to show up and speak up. The city has only heard from its clique and needs to hear from the people!

There are too many people who are upset and not doing anything.  Some of you have written letters to the editor. Now let’s follow through with our presence. —Judy Hessellund, Whitefish
