| May 30, 2015 9:00 PM

Montana Conservation Corps, Flathead County Parks, Lone Pine State Park, Foy’s to Blacktail Trails, Kalispell Daybreak Rotary and other partners are teaming up for National Trails Day on Saturday, June 6.

This day of service and celebration will feature volunteer opportunities at Herron Park and Lone Pine State Park.

Kalispell Daybreak Rotary will provide a free barbecue lunch for all volunteers, followed by a celebration at Kalispell Brewing Co. that is free and open to the public.

Anyone wishing to help with trail maintenance and cleanup at Herron Park or Lone Pine State Park should meet at the north Foy’s Lake parking lot (across from the road to Lone Pine State Park) at 8:30 a.m.

Bring work gloves, a water bottle, and wear sturdy shoes. Lunch for all volunteers begins at 12:30 p.m. at Lone Pine State Park.

From 2 to 4 p.m., the public is invited to a family-friendly Foy’s Fest gathering at Kalispell Brewing Co., 412 Main St., organized by Foy’s to Blacktail Trails. This free event will feature snacks, Patagonia gear giveaways and a chance to learn about all that’s happening at Herron Park.
