Alana K. Stout Lee, 70

| October 1, 2015 6:00 AM

Alana K. Stout Lee passed away in the early morning of Sept. 28, 2015, after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer.

Alana was born in Palo Alto, California, but spent most of her growing up years in Whitehall, Montana. She attended St. Patrick’s School of Nursing and earned her RN degree in 1966. She worked for over 30 years as an RN and loved her time working as an ER triage nurse.

She met Mike Lee and they were married in 1967. They began their married life in North Pole, Alaska and spent their time together in Enumclaw, Washington, Bigfork and Libby. After their divorce, she spent her time in Ferndale to be close to her grandchildren.

She loved researching genealogy and was thrilled to be able to travel to Scotland and spend time with the family members she found there. She was a wonderful baker and cook — she loved gardening and was so proud that she was able to keep the deer away from her flowers this spring.  She loved watching her grandkids’ activities including rodeo, volleyball, basketball, football and baseball.  She had a quick-witted sense of humor which she held onto, even in her last days.

She is survived by her mother, Mona Tidball, her children Amy and Craig Trujillo, Michael and Kristen Lee and Alisha and Lincoln May, her grandchildren; Lars, Lincoln Jr., Valen, Zoe, Landry, Oscar and Piper, her brothers Skip and Boni Stout and David Stout, sister Nina Anderson, and her nieces andnephews; Susan and Jay Dorr, Blake and Diane Stout, Laura and Mort Mortensen, Justin and Beth Anderson, Zack and Sally Anderson, Katie Radtke, Chelsie Shultz, and Sarah and Luke Stahlberg.

A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 640 Swan River Road in Bigfork.
