Cross country: Polson girls first at Hamilton Invitational

HAMILTON — Polson, led by the 4-5-6 finish of Molly Sitter (21:06.30), Malia Seeley (21:09.90) and Ryan Harrop (21:35.34), won the girls team title at the Hamilton Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.

Polson finished with a 47 team total. Hamilton (59) was second.

Polson’s Quinn Motichka finished 11th (22:12.05).

Jaycie Schmalz of Hamilton was the individual champion (19:36.49).

Ashley McCready of Ronan was eighth (21:51.21).

The Hamilton boys captured the team title with a 44 score. Ronan (66) was second and Polson (93) third.

Cameron Meikle of Hamilton was the individual champion (16:23.62).

Jackson Duffy of Ronan was fifth (17:58.11).

Zach Evertz finished 12th (18:42.9) to pace Polson.
