Barbara Ann (Allhands) Paschke, 85

| October 4, 2015 6:00 AM

Barbara Ann (Allhands) Paschke passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, after enjoying a grand, adventurous life of 85 years (Oct.4, 1929, to Oct.1, 2015).

Private family services have been held.

Barbara was a loyal inspiration to her daughters, grandchildren, brother, Gary Fullbright, and all her friends. She was always available to laugh and cry with us, and remained the number one encourager to all of us in our lives and endeavors.

Barbara grew up on a ranch, was an avid horse woman and enthusiastic reader, and remained intellectually curious to the end. She traveled, was passionate about human rights, advocated for the earth and wildlife, and daily followed space exploration. She taught English literature at Colorado Northwestern Community College, was teaching herself Russian, and created gorgeous, hand-made quilts.

Barbara was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2009, (she was vehemently mad about this up to the end), which altered her perspective on how to preserve wildlife wisely and safely.

She is deeply loved by her family and will be sorely missed. Friends are encouraged to visit our website at www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolences for the family. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.
