Volleyball: Thompson Falls tops Libby in four sets

THOMPSON FALLS — Thompson Falls rallied after narrowly dropping the third set to beat Libby, 22-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-15, 15-10 Tuesday night in 7B volleyball action.

The Blue Hawks fell behind immediately, losing the first set, and came up short by the narrowest possible margin in the third. But the hosts ran away with the final two sets to take home the win.

Autrey Hannum led Thompson Falls with 15 kills and four aces. Madison Wheeler chipped in 17 digs.

Mehki Sykes’ 11 kills led the Libby attack. The Loggers and Blue Hawks each had eight blocks, with Libby’s Emily Mossburg recording a match-high four herself.
