Barbara Jean Noel Ross, passed in her sleep with peace and grace on Oct. 16, 2015, at her daughter Kim‘s home.

She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Kelly Sue Johnson; and seven brothers and sisters, Bud Noel, Dotty Joy, Dorothy Watson, Jerry Noel, Margie Jones, Patsy Anderson and James Noel.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Cindy G. Rossmith of St. Ignatius, and Kimberlee J. Ross of Kalispell. Grandchildren include Ryan Cislo, Ashlee Cislo, Jackson Rossmith, Christopher Rossmith, Kristen Johnson-Doble and Ross Johnson; great-grandbabies include Jade, Alexus, Brylee, Avaree, Theodore, Tucker, Weston, and two in waiting.

Barbara was born to William Herbert Noel and Laura Cecelia Glover Noel at the Saint Ignatius hospital in 1935, joining a large family of 14 children. Barbara became a Polson High School graduate of the Class of ‘54. During her high school years she met the love of her life, Kenneth W. Ross, and was married for 18 years, living and raising her family on a ranch in Hot Springs. Barbara threw all of her energies into raising her three daughters with part-time work at the Hot Springs Post Office, Polson Bee Box Factory and Polson Super One Foods.

Barbara was an avid collector of precious glassware in multiple shapes and colors. Many of her travels revolved around countless garage sale searches for pink Depression glass, blue glass, crystal glass, milk glass, carnival glass, red glass and tea pots. Days of her retirement were spent volunteering at the Polson Country Store sorting and pricing treasures.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Lakeview Cemetery in Polson. High tea and cake at the Polson Tribal Senior Center will follow.
