Boys soccer: Glacier season ends in shootout at state tournament

BILLINGS — Glacier soccer fell in penalty kicks on Friday, losing 3-2 in a shootout to Billings West, ending a 1-1 draw and the Wolfpack’s season.

Glacier came out of the gates fast. Wolfpack sophomore defender Micah Reason opened the scoring in the 10th miute to give Glacier a 1-0 lead.

However, penalty kicks would doom the Kalispell squad, West tying the game on a penalty in the 36th minute.

The defenses won out in the second half and two overtime sessions, leaving the game’s outcome to a shootout.

Glacier’s Colton Becker and Brady Schultz made penalty kicks, but the Wolfpack were outdone by West, who got goals from Cody Gagnon, Dalton Albright and Lukas Hutchinson in the shootout.

The Wolfpack finished the season 7-7-1.
