Susan Gail (Caudill) Nutter, 57

Susan Gail (Caudill) Nutter, of Columbia Falls, passed away peacefully on Oct. 21, 2015, at the age of 57, after a long battle with cancer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Clarence Caudill, her brother Frank Caudill, and her husband Harold “Buck” Nutter.

Susan is survived by her only son, Douglas J. Nelson, his wife Karen Nelson, her grandchildren, Caleb, Sarah, Peter and another granddaughter on her way. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Virginia and Kevin Botchek, Gloria and Rob Buhmann, Donna and Brian Miller, Oscar and Anita Caudill, Frank’s widow Maggie Caudill, and Susan’s numerous nieces and nephew.  

Susan was beloved by all of her friends and family for her generous nature, her kind heart and her love of life. She had an amazing, positive outlook towards life and brought people together through her love and friendship.

Susan loved her garden, woodworking, art and crafts, and spent many years creating beautiful pieces for her friends and family. She is greatly missed by all who knew her.  

Susan did not wish to have a funeral. Her family had a small gathering in remembrance of her at her parents’ gravesites. At this time, no life celebration has been planned.
