Man changes plea in bar shooting case

A 27-year-old man has pleaded guilty to two amended counts of criminal endangerment for shooting two people outside a Marion bar in June.

Leif Lee originally pleaded not guilty to felony criminal endangerment and assault with a weapon charges.

Lee shot a woman and man outside the Rail Line Tavern just after 2 a.m. on June 14. Lee reportedly was arguing with the woman and a witness tried to intervene, which prompted Lee to pull out a gun.

Witnesses told police that Lee fired two shots and injured a man and a woman. The woman was seriously hurt and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

A hearing has been set for Oct. 29 to determine whether or not Judge Stewart E. Stadler should take into account aggravating or mitigating factors when he pronounces a sentence.

Lee has been released from custody on bond.
