A second man has died from injuries sustained in a crash Sunday evening on Pipe Creek Road north of Libby.

Passenger Joseph Wesley Barnes, 39, died Wednesday night at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Driver Tyler Ruhter, 31, died at the hospital earlier that day.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the 2004 Ford pickup Ruhter was driving rolled several times near mile marker 3 on Pipe Creek Road.

The driver was heading northbound on Pipe Creek Road, failed to negotiate a curve properly and lost control when he overcorrected.

All three occupants, who were not wearing seat belts, were ejected from the truck as it rolled.

A 13-year-old boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash.
