Bozeman team tops Dragon Boat Festival
The Bozeman Vikings won first place in the Mixed A Division with a time of 1 minute, 13.82 seconds in the championship race Sunday at the Montana Dragon Boat Festival at Lakeside.
Diane Medler of the Kalispell Convention and Visitor Bureau said it was the first time a Montana team has won the festival in its four-year history.
Other champions were:
- Team ID of Lethbridge, Alberta, won the Mixed B Division by just .3 seconds with a time of 1:21.52. Prairie Fire Dragonboat of Medicine Hat, Alberta, took second in 1:21.79 and Professional Therapy Associates of Kalispell was third in 1:21.89.
- The University of Lethbridge Pronghorn Paddlers won the Mixed C Division in 1:22.29.
- Mac Fa’asaulala of Bigfork took home the Mixed D title in 1:26.5.
- Summit Prep of Kalispell took the Mixed E with a time of 1:30.87.
- SCS Phoenix, an Edmonton, Alberta, team, won the Women’s A Final in 1:25.96.
- The Riveting Rosies of Kalispell won the Women’s B Final with a time of 1:34.3.
