Local school superintendents honored

Two area superintendents were among the list of Regional Superintendents of the Year named by the Montana Association of School Superintendents.

Somers/Lakeside School District Superintendent Paul Jenkins and Kalispell Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Andrea Johnson (formerly the superintendent of Townsend School District) were among nine honored at the organization’s annual meeting on Sept. 14.

The award recognizes outstanding leadership of superintendents who have succeeded in providing exceptional learning opportunities for students.

The Montana Superintendent of the Year will be announced at the Montana Conference of Education Leadership Oct. 15.
