Forum features Whitefish council candidates

The Whitefish Pilot and the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a candidate’s forum with the candidates running for Whitefish City Council on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Whitefish Community Center, 121 E. Second St., just east of the Veterans Memorial Bridge.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with an informal “meet-n-greet” reception with the candidates.

The formal program will begin at 6:30 p.m., with a brief introduction of each of the candidates. Moderators Matt Baldwin, managing editor of the Whitefish Pilot, and Kevin Gartland, Whitefish Chamber of Commerce executive director, will ask a series of questions.

Each candidate will have 90 seconds to answer and the order in which the candidates answer the questions will be rotated.

Candidates then will answer a series of questions submitted in writing by members of the audience will follow. Each candidate will have 30 seconds to respond.

Each of the candidates will have an opportunity to make a two-minute closing statement.
