SWAT operation ends without incident

A suicidal man was taken into custody by Flathead County deputies in Martin City after eight swat team members and two negotiators were deployed to keep the man from hurting himself.

A rabies test was ordered on a dog in Columbia Falls that the owner believed had been poisoned with rat pellets.

A person on Old Paint Trail in Bigfork received a text message that contained a pornographic video and asked for deputy guidance on what to do with the message.

A woman and man who were repossessing a vehicle on Cardiff Avenue were attacked by the man who had the keys to the vehicle. The man jumped onto one of the individuals before he went back into his home and was calm. The woman and man decided that there was no need for deputies to show up.

A woman on Willow Glen Drive said that she went out to mow her grass in the morning and found that someone had smashed the cover to her septic tank and defecated in the yard.


One dog died and another was badly injured after the pair entered a yard on Third Avenue West and were attacked by a Doberman. Columbia Falls Police were told that the owner of the dog that died allegedly threatened the owner of the dog that attacked by saying he would kill the still-living dog if it barked.

No report was filed after a man on Ninth Street West wasn’t forthcoming with officers. He initially called 911 to report that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend had floored a 90’s Volvo in an effort to hit the man.


Whitefish Police helped a man get a taxi home after he was found passed out beside East Fourth Street.

A person on Central Avenue complained about noise coming from downtown at 10 p.m.

Officers answered questions from a person about whether or not it is legal to make a left hand turn to park in a diagonal parking spot on the other side of the road.
