TRACK & FIELD: Clairmont, Corrigan lead Polson at Gene Hughes Invitational

CORVALLIS — Polson had two individual winners on Saturday at the Gene Hughes Invitational track meet.

Jacob Clairmont won the 110 hurdles in 15.19 seconds and topped the pole vault by clearing 12 feet, 6 inches.

He was the lone hurdler to finish under 16 seconds.

In the javelin, Mariah Corrigan had the best throw with a distance of 122 feet, 4 inches.

Also for Polson, Danny DiGiallonardo placed second in the 300 hurdles, 44.84, while Erin Sampson was the runner-up in the shot put with a distance of 32-5 1/2.

The Polson boys finished fifth in the team standings. The Polson girls were eighth.

Bach leads Stillwater Christian

DEER PARK, Wash. — BJ Bach had the best showing for Stillwater Christian School on Friday, placing fourth in the 400 with a time of 53.08 seconds.

This was the first outing for SCS.

More than 700 athletes were in attendance.

It was the first high school meet for three SCS athletes.

All Stillwater competitiors set personal records in a least one of their events.

Sophomore Victoria Hanson placed seventh in the 100, 13.75.
