Fugitive arrested in Kalispell

The U.S. Marshals Service has announced that it arrested Charles B. Smith in Kalispell on Wednesday based on a felony warrant for two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

Smith, 23, was being sought by the U.S. Marshals Service Montana Violent Offender Task Force for charges in Cascade County.

An alert had been issued about Smith on Monday.

Smith has already been returned to Cascade County and has been jailed in Great Falls. He was previously out on probation for issuing bad checks in Cascade County.
