LAW ROUNDUP: Man, woman allegedly fight over dope

Kalispell Police responded to West California Street, where someone reported that a man and a woman were in a fight in front of children, allegedly because the adults didn’t have access to marijuana. Officers made contact with the man, who blamed it all on the woman. The woman was seen leaving the area, allegedly throwing items out of the window of a vehicle. The woman did not show up to meet an officer as promised.

A man reported that people were getting beaten up in a government office during a fight involving five people. One man allegedly received a broken nose, but did not want to press charges for the incident.

A man was OK after a minor motorcycle crash on Willow Glen Drive.


Columbia Falls Police picked up a juvenile shoplifter from Ninth Street West and took the youngster back to school for the day.

A man on Talbot Road reported that his gun and PlayStation had been stolen. The man called back later and said that he thought a relative might be to blame.


Whitefish Police destroyed a bag that was found with four unopened Icehouse beers, two half-smoked cigarettes and a small silver marijuana pipe.

A woman reported that she and her husband had parked their car at the beach and returned to find that their passports had been stolen. The car had been unlocked.

An officer responded to Baker Avenue after someone reported that an unfamiliar woman was sweeping the sidewalk. The officer found that the woman was a skateboarder and wanted to remove unsafe pebbles.

A man was removed from an establishment on Central Avenue and had to be tackled to the ground until an officer arrived and took him to jail. Friends bailed him out.

An officer took a report from Murdock Lane, where a man allegedly fled on foot after he was caught trying to steal a vehicle from a maintenance shack.
