SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Glacier's Williams tosses no-hitter in win

by The Daily Inter Lake
| April 9, 2016 11:15 PM

Glacier senior pitcher Ali Williams started the home season with a loss, but quickly got back to her winning ways, throwing a no-hitter against Great Falls High in a split on Saturday at Kidsports Complex.

The Wolfpack got a solo home run from Anna Schrade, the first of her prep career, to take the lead against C.M. Russell, but couldn’t hold on late, losing 3-1.

Glacier struggled to find offense outside of the middle of the order with only Williams, Alivia Atlee and Schrade recording hits in the contest.

The Wolfpack would rebound strong against Great Falls High, with Williams tossing her first no-hitter of the season in a 2-1 win. Williams threw five no-hitters last season in leading the Wolfpack to its first state championship.
