LETTER: Neighbors not being neighborly in water fight

| April 10, 2016 7:45 AM

I have watched and watched my friend Lew Weaver be attacked and have his neighbors turn on him like animals. The time has come to voice my opinion on the kind of people that would turn on their neighbor.

Lew Weaver is a man that always stood by his friends and neighbors. When neighbors needed help with a project, Lew was there. When neighbors and others needed work, Lew was there. When the Flathead River was eroding the bank of a property, Lew worked and helped solve the problem.

When his friends and family are in need of something, Lew has been there. Where are those neighbors now?

This is NOT the Montana way. This is NOT how we do things. All you so-called friends and neighbors need to look at yourselves closely. You have been caught up in a feeding frenzy.

Montana people help each other, not feed like a wolf pack. You all need to look at the findings of the state and realize that this is NOT going to affect anyone’s water table. The water level will continue to stay high.

What is your real concern? The state DNRC will make the right decision. Will you?
