Track: Hill second in 3,200 at Arcadia Invitational
ARCADIA, Calif. — Annie Hill, a standout distance runner at Glacier High School, finished second in the women’s 3,200-meter run Saturday evening at the 49th annual Arcadia Invitational track and field meet with a time of 10 minutes, 14.14 seconds.
Rylee Bowen of Sonoma Academy had the winning time of 10:13.20.
Hill and Bowen are both sophomores and state cross country champions.
There were 25 girls competing in that event at Arcadia High School.
Hannah DeBalsi of Staples High School was third, 10:15.36.
Rebecca Story of Christian Academy was fourth, 10:16.72, and Fiona O’Keeffe of Davis was fifth, 10:17.74.
Jake Perrin, a senior at Flathead High School, placed 17th in the men’s 3,200 with a time of 9:02.49. Top honors went to Casey Clinger of American Fork, 8:50.70. Jon Davis of Oakwood High School was second, 8:51.17.
Eleven runners broke the nine-minute barrier. There were 30 runners competing.
Perrin won the state Class AA state cross country title last fall.
Flathead and Glacier will be in action on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Kalispell Mini-Invitational at Legends Stadium.
