Bettie Lou Hansen, 77
Bettie Lou Hansen, 77, “our beloved sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord” on April 12, 2016.
Bettie was born on May 12, 1938, to Robert C. O’Dell and Helen Yeager in Quinwood, West Virginia. She was raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, until her mid-twenties. Bettie has also lived in Los Alamos, New Mexico; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Camarillo, California; and the Philippines before moving to her beloved Kalispell, where she has lived for over 30 years.
Bettie lived life to the fullest, enjoying snow skiing, sky diving, hiking and many other activities. She loved the outdoors, whether gardening, picking blueberries or huckleberries or just sitting listening to the birds sing. She would show off her Glacier Park to everyone that came to visit and just couldn’t get enough of its beauty. Most of all, Bettie loved spending time with family and friends.
Bettie was always the angel you hoped would come into your life or the life of a loved one. She was always there to help friends, neighbors and anyone in need of a helping hand. Bettie was generous and kind, gentle and feisty. She was everyone’s favorite auntie and will be missed every day.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Landis Hudkins and Leon and Terri Warren.
Bettie is survived by brothers Dudley and Patsy O’Dell and Larry and Carol Hudkins, sisters Gloria Ann Bennet, Helen Land, Marge and Paul Kahler and sister-in-law Terri Warren. Bettie was also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved KitKat.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m Monday, April 18 at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church in Kalispell.
