Business mistaken for bathroom

A Central Avenue business owner called the Whitefish Police Department to report an ongoing problem with transients sleeping behind the building. The caller said the group of people weren’t currently there, but allegedly left a pile of human feces behind. Officers performed extra patrols in the area.

A Central Avenue business employee called police when a fight broke out in front of the building. The caller said six people were involved, and didn’t think anyone was armed. The suspects had dispersed by the time officers arrived at the scene.


A Franlou Park Lane resident called the Columbia Falls Police Department to report two vehicles for parking violations. The caller said one was parked in front of her mailbox, and the other was blocking her driveway.

A Vans Avenue resident called dispatch several times complaining about dogs barking throughout the neighborhood, and wanted the noise to stop.

A Rapids Avenue resident called police to report two young girls throwing eggs at the caller’s house. No suspects were found, but photos of the scene were taken and the caller wanted the information documented by police in case it happened again.


The West Valley Fire Department responded to reports of a burn pile on U.S. 93 North.
