Fred Mandl, 72
Fred Mandl, 72, was born in Boston on April 7, 1944, and passed away in Kalispell on April 7, 2016.
Fred worked in a variety of fields. He was last employed by the Summit Fitness Center until June of 2013. Prior to that he was employed by Kelly Main Street Furniture, Alpine Landscaping and the Butte Montana Standard. He was the original founder and owner of the Montana Trader.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in teaching from Springfield College in Boston. Fred was also a member of the United States Army Reserves.
Fred was preceded in death by his stepfather and mother David and Dorothy Yonan, father John Mandl and cousin Pamela Bertola.
Fred is survived by his wife, Pam Mandl; daughter, Alysa Mandl; stepsons Scott and John Pentilla; uncle Allen Mills; nine grandchildren; former wife, Debbie Krause; and granddog, Louie.
Fred loved fishing, painting, cooking, and keno machines.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life this summer for family and close friends.
