LETTER: Keep Regier in Legislature

Please vote for Keith Regier, Republican candidate for District 3 state Senate in the June primary.

I enthusiastically endorse Regier. He has shown in the last four sessions of the Montana House that he has the best interest of the people of the Flathead Valley in mind. He has worked diligently to lower taxes, both income and property. Last legislative session he sponsored HB 166 that would have lowered the income-tax rates. It was vetoed by the governor.

He sponsored HB 111 and HB 488 that strengthened DUI laws to make our roads safer and get help for those with addiction problems. Those bills were signed into law. Other successful bills he carried helped grandparent/grandchild relationships in divorce proceedings and another provided an enhanced sentence for assaulting a pregnant woman.

Keith has held several leadership positions while serving in the House; majority whip, Energy Committee chairman and current majority leader. These positions show that he has the respect of fellow legislators. And through the sessions he has not left the conservative Montana values that serve us well.

With his experience and positive legislative record, it is clear that Keith Regier is the best choice to serve us in the Senate.
